Nelson F. Johnston, 77, of Dallas, TX, passed away September 3rd 2021. He was born in Hackensack, NJ on February 27th 1944. Nelson F. Johnston graduated from Bloomfield High school and received an associates from Eastfield. He was married to Kathy Johnston on February 14th 1991. Nelson worked as a service tech for Sears, and later in life worked security for Town East Mall.
He is survived by wife, Kathy Johnston; children, Jacob Johnston, Joanna Kitler (Peter), Isaac Johnston (Sarah), Lisa Hogan (Jerry), Lanny Risher (Sheila), Holly Robertson, Kayla Mullins (Tyler); 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Claire Fredette “Sookie”; and three brothers.
Nelson is proceeded in death by mother, Rose Irizary; Father, Frank Vonderschmidt; daughter Robin; and biological father, Widmer Johnston.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home with a rosary to follow. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am, September 10th, at St. Puis X Catholic Church. Burial will be at 3pm at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
