Nancy graduated from Township High School in Harrisburg, Illinois in 1956. Soon after, she moved to Texas with her family, where she lived for the majority of her life.
For most of her career, Nancy was employed in the legal field as a paralegal for various law firms. She retired in 1995, after 17 years of employment as a Supervisor of Paralegal activities, at Fannie Mae.
Nancy loved to sew, which she restored her focus and passion after retirement. She was an amazing seamstress and made hundreds of items for family and friends. Her attention to detail and insistence on perfection resulted in nothing short of pure brilliance. Every hand-made item will hold a special place in the heart of the receiver, with a special meaning and message behind them all.
Nancy was also a very talented musician who could sing, play the piano, double bass, viola and accordion. She was self-taught and could hear a song and immediately play it. Her children and grandchildren benefited from her gifts and talents as they were passed down.
Nancy was married to Jerry K Stewart, from Rockwall, Texas, for 46 years. They were married on December 27, 1971. Their love for one another was inseparable and grew greater each day.
