Muriel was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where she attended Thomas Jefferson High School and worked for the Army Corps of Engineers during WWII. She was an accomplished artist, having studied at the Art Students League, and left a legacy of her work to her family.
In 1966 she moved with her husband and children to Dallas, where she was active in the Jewish community for many years. After the untimely death of her husband she returned to school and earned her Associate Degree in Interior Design. Several years later, she studied for and celebrated her B’nai Mitzvah. She loved the opera, travel and, most of all, time with her family. She lived to attend the weddings of all three grandchildren and enjoyed thirteen years with her great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Miller, and her son, David Martin Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Ruth Miller; granddaughters, Jill Kreutz, Lindsay Fell-Kerr and Jamie Gross; and great-granddaughter, Tatum Kreutz.
Service will be at 11am, Friday, October 21, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX, 75225.
