Nanny Muriel Hughes, age 88, of Dallas Tx. died peacefully Friday morning at Presbytarian Hospital after a seven year fight with dementia and complications that followed.
Born in Florence Hill, Texas. May 14, 1923 and HS graduate as salutatorian. She set out a life long career as a successful commercial real estate broker in her own company. She leaves behind her two daughters, Lynda Lowery and Lori Rolie, her four grandchildren, Rene' and Todd Lowery, Sean and Ashleigh Rolie and her sole surviving sister, Edith Maurine Cain, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was a kind and loving woman with the tenacity, integrity and ambition in life hard to miss. Also hard to miss was her veracious and genuine smile for all as well as her welcomed hugs. She will so be missed but remains in our hearts and memories forever.
Open visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 3, 2-8. followed by the memorial service on Tuesday, Oct. 4th at 2pm. both held at Sparkman Hillcrest, Dallas Tx. 75230.
