Milton Edward Boyer, born on February 1, 1929, in Uniontown, Ohio to Mildred and Howard Boyer, passed away at the age of 95 on March 4, 2024 in Garland, Texas. Ed graduated from Uniontown High School and Ohio State University. Go Buckeyes! Ed served in the Army during the Korean War as a lieutenant. He then went on to work for Dunn and Bradstreet, where he met his future wife, Rita. They married in May,1955. He then worked for Nationwide Insurance as an unemployment compensation analyst for 35 years.
Ed and Rita were members of Northminster Presbyterian Church and later Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. He was a volunteer at the White Rock Center of Hope Dallas, Texas for almost 30 years. He and Rita were instrumental in starting the White Rock Center of Hope Thrift Shop.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife Rita, his parents, Mildred and Howard, and his sister Gwen.
Ed is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Mike) and Debbie (Roy); four grandchildren, Tim, Jennifer, Katy, and Marybeth; and five great-grandchildren, Aryannah, Priscilla, Maximus, McCoy, and Abigail. THere is another great-grandchild due in May.
A graveside service is planned at Grove Hill cemetery on March 9, 2024.
