Michael George Marron, Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Born in Dallas, Texas, on March 13, 2000 to Mary and Michael Marron, Michael grew up in Highland Park, a community he loved and was cherished for his special gift of friendship. His early years were spent riding bikes to Bradfield Elementary, fishing in neighborhood ponds, playing sports, hunting at the family ranch and enjoying life to its fullest. He treasured lifelong friends, his mother and father and younger brother John Henry, whom he adored. The bond between his merry band of friends grew stronger with every passing year. Michael will be remembered as someone who always had a smile and was quick to include people in a meaningful way. He delivered fierce loyalty at every turn.
Michael attended Highland Park High School where he was a dedicated Lacrosse player helping his team capture the Texas State Championship title. Upon graduation, he traveled to Europe with his closest friends to experience the trip of a lifetime. The following fall he enrolled at the University of Arkansas, a school he had adored since childhood. He and his family spent many Saturdays rooting for the Hogs. Following in his father’s foot steps, Michael pledged the fraternity of Sigma Alpha Epsilon where he immediately met a group of young men who became his eternal brothers. Since his passing, multiple fraternities, organizations and friends have paid tribute in an outpouring of love and prayer. Though Michael was not on this earth for long, he lived everyday as if he were dancing on the sun. He will be remembered as a devoted son, brother, and friend who spread joy, laughter, and light wherever he went. We were all made better because of him.
