Melvin Curtis McClung passed away June 4, 2023, in his Dallas home at 92. He was born in Monroe, Louisiana to John and Ada McClung. Mel and his wife, Tommie, moved to Dallas in 1967 to start a new business. They were inseparable and loved spending time together travelling the world, dining in fine restaurants, enjoying life, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Mel is survived by his daughter Tonya, and her husband Jason, son Matt, and his wife Charlotte. He has four grandchildren: Maddy (17), Allison (14), Joshua (13), and Rebecca (8). Visitation will be from 10AM – 12PM Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, Texas. A private committal service will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
