Mel Kuehler, “Pop” passed away peacefully with family at his side on January 16th 2012 in Dallas TX. He was born in Rhineland, TX on December 28th 1938. He was a retired market manager and grocery store owner of more than 30 years. His favorite activities were spending time with his family including his 13 grandchildren, fishing, gardening, and helping dozens of others achieve sobriety through his work with Alcoholics Anonymous.
He is preceded in death by his wife Peggy, his brother Clem, and sister Debbie Rice. He is survived by his brothers Wayne, Glen, and Donnie, sisters Betty Lyon, and Joan Sowder, children Michael, Teresa Anderle, Stephen and Phillip, his grandchildren; Travis, Jacob, Colby, John David, Marie Clare, Emma, Paul, Matthew, Jonathan, Thomas, Ella, Kade, and Claire along with countless friends.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by Rosary Services at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19th at Calvary Hill Funeral Home on Lombardy Ln. in Dallas. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church on University Place in Lewisville, TX on Friday, January 20th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
