After moving from Oklahoma to Dallas, she worked at the telephone company. During this time, she met her husband Theo Chaney and married on July 4, 1953. She started working at Texas Instruments in the 1960s which she retired from.
She enjoyed painting, gardening, traveling with her friends and family, Church and visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alva and Grace Boggs, husband Theo Chaney, son Ronald Chaney and sister Charlena Smith.
She is survived by her sister Reta Boggs Crenshaw, son Frank and wife Kathy Chaney, son Ray and wife Lisa Chaney. Five grandchildren Chad, Ashley, Jake, Wade Chaney and Lacey Blalock. Ten great grandchildren, Luke, Alexa, Brady, Connor and Jaxon Chaney, Breyawna Rock, Maddox Lyon, Haven Blalock, Hannah Blalock and Madison Blalock.
