Maximino "Max" Gonzalez Magana, 79, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. He was born April 5, 1944 in Avalos, Chihuahua to Alicia Gonzalez and Jesus Magana. Maximino was raised in El Paso, Texas and attended Jefferson High School for two years. He served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam as a PFC (E-2).

He married Juanita Castaneda in 1986 and the couple had two children. He worked as a supervisor at the Department of Veterans Affairs for more than twenty years. In his spare time, Max enjoyed watching and discovering new movies and series, playing Mahjong and Solitaire, spending time with his family and his fur babies, finding and enjoying good food along with making funny jokes. His family and friends will always remember him being extremely positive, cheery, caring, protective, and selfless with the most contagious laugh. He was always smiling.

Mr. Magana is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Magana; mother, Alicia Gonzalez Magana; brother, Jose J. Magana; aunts, Gloria Gonzalez Castaneda, Bertha Gonzalez; uncle, Humberto Gonzales; fur babies, Matilda, Chacho and Suzly.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita C. Magana; daughters, Karla Magana, Kassandra Magana, Alicia Magana; fur babies, Vale, Kika, Tama, Nyanko along with the many nieces, nephews, and family members that adore and miss him so much.
