Born February 14, 1931, in Dallas, he attended Dallas High School.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Lydia Rose, daughter Gail Rose Soliz and son Mark Lynn Rose. Also survived by four grandchildren: Erin Rose, Evan Rose, Alex Soliz, and Noah Soliz.
He worked as a camera salesman for Interphoto and Rolleiflex before starting his own business with his wife in 1979, which he helped build into a nationally recognized brand that still exists today.
Proceeded in death by his brother Alvin and both his parents.
An avid reader, sportsman and hiker, he enjoyed working out, traveling to remote and interesting places spanning the globe. He will be remembered for his dry wit and keen sense of humor, kindness and dedication to his family.
