He was born on June 30, 1986 in Dallas. Matthew was a 2004 graduate of Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, where he won a state championship in soccer. He then earned a BBA in accounting from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, and enjoyed a semester abroad in London during his time at MSU. Matthew was a proud member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and truly embraced the brotherhood long after graduation. He created lifetime bonds and remained friends with his Sigma Nu family and loved each of them dearly.
He worked for Tripac out of Corona, CA , where he quickly excelled to the position of Regional Sales Manager - Central US. He enjoyed everything about his company; his boss, co-workers (Philip), and his customers.
Matthew adored Haley De La Garza, his fiancée, who he planned to properly propose to 12/22/19 in CA; unfortunately, he passed just before he could give her the unique and loving proposal she deserved. They enjoyed the last six years of his life together, truly enjoying all that life had to offer and had exciting plans for the future. Matthew and Haley had three beloved dogs - Gracie, Harvey, and Lady. One of the last things he said to his Mother (Michelle), was that he loved his little family and looked forward to being a father and providing her a granddaughter. Matthew truly would have made the best father and husband.
He was an enthusiastic Dallas Cowboys fan/University of Texas Longhorn fan, hook ‘em! He enjoyed countless activities including soccer, golf, swimming, playing with his dogs and loving Haley. Matthew simply had an unmatched passion for life and never met a stranger. He lit up any room with his contagious smile and outgoing personality; his time here on earth will leave a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
