Mary Jean Smith was born on April 10,1938 in Mount Pleasant Texas, the daughter of James and Mae Dell Hamilton. She was the oldest of nine children. She attended School in Blunders Creek, Mount Pleasant, Josephine and McKinney texas, graduating with the nursing degree in dallas.
She was United in holy matrimony to Arbre Lee Smith Jr on October 2, 1959. To this Union three daughters were born Rachel, Stacie, Teresa. She worked as a nurse at Parkland, at Texas instruments and also as a home aid. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church over 40 years and the Catholic daughters for over 25 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories Rachel and Stacie Smith (daughters), Arbre D Smith Sr, Amber and Andria Peters (grandchildren) Abre, Anila, Akenadi, Kevin, Arbrianna, Ayden and Ava (great-grandchildren). Ruby Johnson, Hazel Henderson, Betty Jones, Willie Hamilton, Fred Hamilton, Charles Hamilton and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
