

peacefully on Sunday, August 27,
2017,after years of battling Alzheimer’s.
She was born in Lindale, Texas, to Victor
and Elvira Ford. She left Lindale after
attending Tyler Junior College to come to
Dallas to work and live during the middle
of WWII. She met a dashing Air Force
flight instructor, Robert L (Bob) Satterfield,
and they married in January, 1945. In the
following years they had two children,
Barbara Ann and Lawrence Craig. They
had a busy life together with travels, golf and bridge.
Bob passed away at a young age in 1977.
Jo stayed very active continuing to
play lots of golf, Bridge and enjoying her
many friends. Entertaining was a passion
for her and she was a wonderful generous
hostess. Her home always had friends
and family coming to visit and enjoy her
hospitality . Twenty years after Bob’s
passing, she met Ralph E. Graham, and
they were married in Acapulco, Mexico
in 1997. She and Ralph had a happy
marriage for 8 years until he passed away
in 2005.
She is predeceased by her parents, her
brother William Otho Ford, a sister, Johnnie Ford.
She is survived by her two
sisters, Margaret McCain (Jim) and Bettie
Linnstaedter (Bill). Also surviving her are
her daughter, Barbara Satterfield Camp
(Brad), by her son Lawrence Craig
Satterfield, (Laura). She is also survived
by her grandchildren, Bradley Camp
(Ragen), Yancey Camp (Britney) , Gavin
Satterfield (Beverly ), Micah Thornton,
Kate Sawyer, Bethany Airhart and
numerous great grandchildren. She loved
babies and small children more than
anything and was always thrilled when
her grandchildren were around her. She
will be greatly missed by all.
In her final stages of life she was
blessed with wonderful and loving
caregivers , Jill Jurica, Mary Morales and
Sharron Higgins. We are so grateful to
them.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM
to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 31,
2017, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral
Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway,
Dallas, Texas 75225.
A memorial service will be held at
11:00 AM on Friday, September 1, 2017,
at Church of the Incarnation , 3966
McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75204.
