Mary Belle Rode

Mary Belle (Clark) Rode,age 97 of Dallas, TX passed away October 31, 2011. Mary was born July 1, 1914 in Morris, Oklahoma to James M. and Louisa Mina (Oelgeschlager) Clark. She attended Morris High School, Oklahoma State University and Hill’s Business University in Oklahoma City. She was a successful business woman and retired as Assistant Regional Director of Business Affairs for General Services Administration. Mary was predeceased by her husband of fifty-seven years, Harry Rode. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Marge Rode of Victoria, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of Richardson Woman’s Club, Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star – Chapter 1000 was an accomplished artist and enjoyed playing bridge. The family would like to thank the staff of Presbyterian Village North for their care over the past eight years. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2011 in the chapel of Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Tom Clark, Spencer Blair, Tucker Blair and Harry Zaointz.
