Mary Ann Roberts, 84, of Longview died Thursday, April, 7, 2011. A graveside service will be held at Llano Cemetary in Amarillo on Tuesday, April 12th at 2:00.
Mary Ann was born November 30, 1926 in Amarillo to G. Ray and Ruth Smith. She was a Spanish teacher at Tascosa High School for over 20 years, a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother. Mary Ann was an avid dog lover and enjoyed traveling to New York City and Cape Cod. She gave her love unconditionally to her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years; Noble Roberts; two daughters; Gaylan Burket and Kris Stevenson of Plano and their husbands; Steve Burket and Ken Stevenson; two granddaughters; Jennifer Thomas and Carli Stevenson of Plano and Jennifer's husband; Michael Thomas; two cousins Phyllis Shaw and Melanie Smith of Longview; and her sweet dog Sassy.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, Scottish Rite Hospital or the SPCA.
