Mary Ann Reiter

Mrs. Mary Ann Reiter, 78, of Dallas, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 after five long years of battling cancer. She passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on September 8, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter of Dave Luman Washburn and Ann Marie Washburn. She was a graduate of Regis Catholic High School, Class of 1960. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietary Nutrition from Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa in 1964 and a Masters of Nutrition from North Texas State University in 1984. Mary had four careers:: first as a registered dietitian in Chicago after graduation; second as a mother of three boys and a homemaker; third as an executive’s wife, and fourth as a Director of Admissions at All Saints Catholic School. Mary was married to Doug, her high school sweetheart, for 57 years. Mrs. Reiter is survived by Doug Reiter, her son, David Reiter and his wife Susie, her grandchildren Garrett and Audrey, her son Craig Reiter and his wife Nicole, and her grandchildren, Jackson Reiter and Mckenzi Reiter and their mom Rochelle Reiter. Mary’s Celebration of Life service and lunch reception will be on August 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, located at 5231 Meadowcreek Dr. Dallas, TX 75248.
