Mary “Nannie” Miskulin went peacefully home to Heaven on Thursday March 12, 2015, after a wonderful life filled with love and family. Mary Simcheck was born in 1923 in Barberton, OH, where she met the love of her life, John Miskulin, whom she married in 1944. Together they raised 4 children. Mary was a daily communicant at St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she was active with the church rosary group. Over the years, Mary made thousands of rosaries that were sent to missionaries all over the world. Mary worked diligently in the St. Pius X cafeteria for 37 years, serving generations of children from the parish. She was a loving, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved to hold and read to her “babies”. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Miskulin, her son John Miskulin Jr., and grandson Jonathon Miskulin. She is survived by her children Rosemary (Randy) Stovern, Joe (Geralyn) Miskulin and Kathy (Darrell) Harden and grandchildren Frank Torti, Tina Anderson, Jeni Vest, Jessica Chambers, Jacob Miskulin, Ashley Seaman Phelps and Stephanie Seaman, as well as 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a Mass be said at your home parish in her name. Visitation will be held at Sparkman Crane on Garland Road, Sunday, March 15th, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, with a rosary being held at 7:00pm and will be led by Monsignor Thomas Weinzapfel. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 16th, at 11:00am at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Dallas. Burial will be Wednesday March 18th at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery at 9:30am.
