Mary Magdalena Martinez

Mary Magdalena Martinez (Nena), 61 passed away Tuesday March 9, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. She was born March 31, 1959 in Dallas to Raymond Gonzales and Mary Ulloa. In her spare time, Nena enjoyed drawing, coloring and writing. She loved to sing, dance, and spend time with her family and her beloved dog Oreo. Her family and friends will always remember her for her great sense of humor. She always cracked jokes and was known to be the life of the party. Nena also had a serious side. She was strong willed and a fighter. Her children referred to her as a loving and "hard core" mother who will be dearly missed. Mary is preceded in death by her grandparents Angelita and Gertrudes Medina, Petra Aguilar Gonzales and other members of the Medina and Gonzales families. She is survived by her husband, Eladio Martinez; children, Rachel Gonzales, Joe (Bobbie Gail) Moreno, Juan (Michele) Moreno; grandchildren, Nyssa (Angel) Pena, Benny Jack Hinkle IV, Sophia Moreno, Juan Moreno Jr., and Julian Moreno; great-granddaughter Avianna Elise Pena. She is also survived by her parents, Raymond Gonzales Jr. and Mary Ulloa; sisters Rebecca Gonzales, Ramona Wise, Marisela Ulloa; brothers Raymond Gonzales III, Raul Don Gonzales, Paul Gonzales, and Gregory Arthur Gonzales; numerous nephews, nieces, and a host of other family and friends.

In accordance with local and federal government, including CDC directives, we ask everyone attending funeral services to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
