Traveling the breadth of the world, from the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador to the far reaches of India, Mary enjoyed both the excitement and challenge of experiencing different cultures, and exotic lands. She enjoyed sharing those experiences with her friends and family at home just as much. A talented artist, she ranged widely in creative endeavor. From jewelry, to portraiture, to home beautification, she always had creative fires burning.
Many people in her life also know her fun loving, and caring side. Her friends and family, remember her for conversations (often boisterous and always heartfelt), over glasses of pinot grigio, that could stretch long into the night; or, rumbling board game sessions that kept all in stitches. Her empathy, companionship, and humor in these, and many other engagements served as both a rejuvenating elixir in light moments, and a soothing balm in more somber ones. Her light will be sorely missed by all who witnessed it.
Born in Toronto, Canada, on October 6th, 1953, Mary is preceded by her mother and father Fredrick and Berenice Kinsman (and, her cat Niles). She is survived, and dearly remembered by her two sons Nicolas and Arye Kinsman-Orona, as well as her four sisters Vicky, Susan, and Penny Kinsman, and Kathleen Van Dusen; as well as her partner Monnie Matthews, and many other close friends and family.
