Mary Ann was a graduate of Spring Hill College Class of ‘76. She began her career as a first grade teacher at St. Augustine School in Dallas before switching careers into the tech industry. She was employed with EDS and HP for thirty-two years, and a few years with Children’s Medical Center Dallas before returning to HPE, where she was currently employed as a Cyber Risk and Compliance Analyst.
While her sons were attending school, Mary Ann was extensively involved with St. Philip the Apostle Parish and School. More recently, she was involved with the Cathedral Choir for a number of years, and she was currently part of the Schola Cantorum Stellae Solae, a Gregorian chant group. Apart from making beautiful music with her friends, her other interests included making lists, organizing a number of events for friends and family, and baking everyone's favorite treats.
Mary Ann was instrumental in creating the Monstère Saint-Benoît Foundation USA, Inc, an organization aiming to facilitate support for a monastic community in La Guarde-Freinet, France. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel B. and Anna Marie Nolan. She leaves her husband, John Galindo, of 37 years; son John Joseph Galindo; son Daniel Galindo and wife Jennifer; brother Patrick Nolan and wife Annette; & brother Michael Nolan and wife Rosalia.
A visitation/rosary for Mary Ann will be held Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 1:00 PM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3030 Gus Thomasson Rd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3900 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, Texas 75088.
