Mickey was a longtime resident of Mission, Texas. She retired from the City of McAllen. Mickey enjoyed music and dancing. She also enjoyed cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers and Astros baseball. Mickey was the supreme pie baker for her family. She was loving and supportive to her children and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. Mickey will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband, Gaylord De Kock, Sr.
Mickey is survived by her three children, Gaylord De Kock, Jr., Theresa Brown, and A.B. De Kock, and their spouses; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers at Jackson Place Home Care in Dallas for the loving care for the last three years.
A memorial service will be held at Kriedler Funeral Home in McAllen on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Cemetery on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10:00 am.
