Mrs. Mary E Burkett

Mary Elizabeth “Libba” Burkett, 89, passed away on March 31, 2015, peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord at Medical City Dallas. She was most recently a resident at Town Village North Dallas. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Darnellia “Dee” Faye Grant of Dallas, Texas, and Linda Kaye Marion of San Antonio, Texas. Also survived by her grandchildren, Keith and Cheryl Farmer of Flower Mound, TX, Kregg and Cyndi Farmer of Milledgeville, IL, and Kristie and Kendall Allen of Austin, TX. Her legacy also lives on in her nine beautiful great-grandchildren, Caleb, Alayna, Micah, Jeanna, Katryna, Arianna, Jonathan, Joshua and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Crawford Burkett, parents, Wesley and Euna Mae Brooks, and grandson, Michael Dwayne Brown. She was a longtime member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Oak Cliff, TX. In her later years it was hard for her to get to church, but the Lord’s spirit was strong in her heart. Her sweet smile and strong, beautiful spirit will never be forgotten by her loving family. The family is forever grateful for the compassionate and expert care provided to Libba by Patty, Rose and Lucy in her final months.
