Mary Barnett

Mary was born December 16, 1939, in Covington, Kentucky, to William and Katherine (Laphorn) Pittman.

Mary graduated from Holmes High School in 1958. She worked at the Federal Reversal Bank, and for Caterpillar Financial. She married her beloved husband Ronald Barnett, and enjoyed 55 years of marriage. Mary devoted her life to her four children, working as a teacher aid going on school field trips and to all the kids’ athletic games. She enjoyed RV camping, holiday cooking, puzzles and reading books. Later in life, Mary also enjoyed listening to audible books, and just being with family and friends and her pets.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Willard Barnett; and her son, Ronald Douglas Barnett.

Mary is survived by her loving sister Patricia (Pittman) Lightner; her three daughters, Cheri Barnett, Paula (Barnett) Everest, Heather Barnett; grandchildren, Megan, Brittany, Hunter, Justin, and Matthew’ and two great grandchildren, Ethan and Faith.

Family will be greeting friends and relatives at a Celebration of Mary's Life that will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 12:00pm at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 7990 President George Bush Turnpike, Dallas, Texas 75252. Burial will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy Dallas, TX at 3:15pm.
