My condolences to the Marotta family in the passing of Martin. We were childhood friends and remaind
 friends through adulthood. I left town in the early nine
ties and lost touch with him and sadly enough I find this. I am truly sorrowed by this news.

I was so sorry when I heard about Martin. I talked to him almost every time I visited Dallas. He was so excited about decorating outside with Christmas lights, adding more each year. He always had a smile on his face and was ready to share a fun memory of growing up on Wonderlight Lane. I will miss our talks. My prayers are with each of you. Sherry

Martin was so precious to our neighborhood and our family. He was our silent protector. You always knew he was there looking out for you to make sure everything was okay. We will miss him dearly.

My friend Martin Marotta,

A brilliant mind and kind heart. He remembered all of his friends with amazing accuracy.

 Martin would call me and wish me a "Happy Birthday" every year, then we would catch up on our different journeys and the latest news on all of our childhood friends.  I was amazed at this, because, shamefully I can't even remember by brothers and sisters Birthdays.  Most importantly it made me feel good and I'll never forget those calls.

I believe Martin has got a special place in heaven for his kind hearted dedication to helping his friends and family, especially his loving devotion to helping his mother Pat.

  I think of him as being somewhere in heaven having conversations with his dad Frank. They are probably exploring heavenly exotic fish and taking pictures of other Angels. 

I also believe that God called him up to help remember the Birthdays of the Saints and Arc Angels.

Me and all the "kids on the block" will surely miss you Martin!

My dear Marotta friends. I am so sad to hear of Martin's passing. What a beautiful heart he had. I don't know how I would have managed without him looking over my house during the past year. He was such a special person and I will always remember his kindness and eagerness to help anyone he met. He loved his family and loved to fill me in on how everyone was doing. You are now (and always) in my heart and prayers. I love you guys.

I will always remember Martin's beautiful smile (so much like Frank's) and how happy he was to greet me and my family when we'd see him at church alongside his lovely mama. We will permanently add Martin to our prayers. May he rest in peace.  Love to you all, Lily McNally Hogan

Martin was a dear friend no matter what he would always remember birthdays and was a huge prescience at our annual Halloween parties. You will truly be missed. God bless you my friend.
