She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Quinton Johnson. Her family includes son Roland Johnson and wife Cynthia; daughter Karla Evans; grandchildren, Wesley Johnson and wife Laura; Benjamin Johnson and wife Lindsey; Daniel Evans; Martha Canuteson and husband Josh; Grace Evans; Kate Evans: great-grandchildren, Ellis and Gwen Canuteson; Lucas and Jacob Johnson; Avery and Owen Johnson; Jayden and Chloe Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Marie Haschke, sister Ruth Miller and brother Richard Haschke.
Martha was a 1952 graduate from the University of Texas, Austin. She taught at Fort Worth Children’s Museum and private kindergarten in Farmers Branch where she lived for 60 years.
Her life centered on church activities, visits with the homebound and nursing home residents; Meals on Wheels; and volunteering at hospitals.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m.on January 26, 2024 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 4000 Midway Road, Carrollton, Texas 75007, followed by reception.
A private interment will be at Palm Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery in Round Rock, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one of the following charities: Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, or Scottish Rite for Children.
