Marshall was born on December 29, 1950. He was the youngest of three children to Charles Dewitt King Sr and Ruby Ruth Telford King. Marshall was raised in DeKalb, TX, on a small ranch. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything involving firearms. Marshall taught License to Carry classes, and if you could not load, hold, or shoot your weapon properly, you failed with no refund. Although raised in the country, he was a city boy at heart. He was right at home being owner and operator of North Dallas Pawn. He loved being behind the counter making deals. When not working, you might find him in his truck, driving the backroads of Dallas, listening to Motown and Classic Rock. He always drove a single cab truck, and told everyone it was so only one person could ride with him. Marshall Telford King was preceded in death by his parents Charles Dewitt King Sr and Ruby Ruth King, and Sister Kathy Fredekind. He is survived by his wife Wendy King, daughter Katherine Jackson, son-in-law Ryan Jackson, and the grand babies Ryker and Rylee Jackson. His son Charles T. King and the grand babies Norah and Christian King. His brother Charles D. King Jr. His previous wife Diane Winn and stepsons Trey Pirkey, Jason Pirkey, Erick Pirkey, and their families. A multitude of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, October 8th, 2020, at 12:00pm, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas TX, 75225.
