

Marsha Melnik Glass passed away Jan 17, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Marsha was born in Trecienne, Poland on February 9, 1927. Marsha was born to Moshe and Peshe Radinovich Melnik in Trecienne, Poland on February 9, 1927. At thirteen she was separated from her mother and sisters due to the invasion of Poland in 1939. She stayed with her father Moshe and her brother in Trecienne where Russians had control. In 1941 when Germany invaded Trecienne, Marsha, her father, and brother hid in the forest until a wonderful Christian woman hid Marsha until the end of the war. Sadly, Marsha lost her entire family in the Holocaust. When in a displaced person's camp in Italy she met the love of her life, Abraham Glass. She married Abe and began their life together on November 27, 1946. They had 2 daughters and started a new life in Cleveland, Ohio in 1952. Marsha and her husband started their own headboard business in 1962. Marsha was a very generous woman supporting many organizations especially those dealing with helping children. Marsha sadly lost her family as a child but today is survived by her 2 daughters, Miriam Glass Kuchinsky and Nina Lewin, son-in-laws Jeff Lewin and Arnie Kuchinsky, grandchildren Brent Lewin, Warren Lewin, Cory Kuchinsky, and Courtney Frost. Great grandchildren Brylen Kuchinsky, Jackson Lewin, Marlow Frost, and Isla Lewin. The family would like to thank Olie Kholley for her kind and loving care of Marsha. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
