Marjorie Elizabeth Savard, 93, passed away on January 29, 2014. She was born in January of 1921 in Schenectady, New York to Ruth and Richard Sogge. She was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority at St. Lawrence University, where she graduated with a Psychology Degree. She married the love of her life, George Arthur Savard, on March 2, 1946 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Richard Sogge; beloved husband of 36 years, George Arthur Savard and brother, Richard Chadwick Sogge.
She is survived by her children, Kristen Ann (Bob) Higdon of San Diego, CA, Thomas Richard (Donna) Savard of Coppell, Mary Elizabeth Savard of Dallas and Steven Paul (Connie) Savard; grandchildren, Lauren Scruggs, Lindsey Savard, Stephanie Savard and Connor Savard, all of Coppell, and Brett Higdon of San Diego, CA; and great-granchild, Jaxon Scruggs.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all the friends Marjorie made and who showed support at Sample House and Candle Shop, Christus St. Joseph Village, Prestonwood Rehabilitation, and Compass Hospice.
Visitation will be held, Monday, February 3, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Calvary Hill North Mausoleum Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Main Mausoleum of Calvary Hill Cemetery.
