Marilyn Edith Luecke Rynearson passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday, August 22, 2022; just two days shy of her 88th birthday. Marilyn was born on August 24th, 1934. She was the first of identical twins born to Dr. Percy E Luecke, Sr. and Amelia (Heiner) Luecke. Marilyn was the Salutatorian of her class at Woodrow Wilson High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from North Texas State College. Marilyn worked as a Medical Technologist. She retired from her last job, at Baylor Hospital, after 39 years at the age of 82. She loved to tend her flowers, was active in her neighborhood of Little Forest Hills, and other hobbies like sewing, quilting and playing the piano. She had a quiet sense of humor! One favorite memory of ours was saying once to her that I wanted a Porsche. She said you have porch; a front one and a back one. She is survived by her son Martin Rynearson; daughter Carol Simerly and husband Jim; granddaughter Megan Rynearson and boyfriend Darrel Blake; great-grandchildren Lydia, Skylar and Hayden and Darrel's children, whom she consider her own, Darrel Jr., Harley and Daniela. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; brothers Henry and Percy Jr. and sisters Dorothy Williams, Margaret Waldschmidt, Carolyn Halter and Elizabeth Brondos. We were blessed to see Heaven through her eyes several days before she passed. We know she's singing with her Family and the Angel choir now. As per her wishes, there will be a graveside service held at Grove Hill cemetery Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Luecke family plot. As a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Dallas, their Clergy will be presiding over her service.
