Maria Benavidez Ybarra

Maria was born in Rosebud, TX to Nemecio and Delfina Benavidez on April 17, 1927. She married Miquel Ybarra until his death in 2016. Maria was an amazing woman with many talents and skills. She was a devoted Catholic and was a beloved mother and wife. Her home was always spic and span with homemade meals ready for her loving family. She was well known in her extended family for her award-winning hot sauce. She will be missed by many nieces, and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband Miguel Ybarra and her twin sister, Anita Castillo, a mere eight weeks.

Her surviving children: Ruben, Wife, Rachel, Robert, Wife Margie, Richard, Becky Miller, Miguel, Jr. and Mary Garza, Husband, Pete. Her brothers Augustin and Jesse Benavidez. Eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Burial will be at 1:00p.m. on July 22, 2020 at Calvary Hill Cemetery, everyone is required to wear a mask and social distance.
