Maria Luisa Lopez, age 92, passed away on February 5, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on October 5, 1925 in Ocampo Guanajuato Mexico to Carlos and Maria Diaz de Leon.
Maria was raised in Ocampo Guanajuato Mexico and married Juan Lopez in 1946 and the couple had four children. In her spare time Maria Luisa enjoyed reading, sewing and church. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving, caring, trustworthy, amazing, faithful women, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Driven by faith and her fear of God person and she was a Faithful Servant of the order of St. Francis of Assisi.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and husband and is survived by four children: Mary, Lupe, Joaquin and Janie, twelve grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday February 8, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gonzalez Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be said on Friday February 9, 2018 at 12 Noon at Nuestra Senora Del Pilar Catholic Church 4455 W. Illinois Ave. Dallas, TX 75211 with burial to follow at Laurel Land Cemetery 600 R. L. Thornton in Dallas TX.
