Margaret was born August 29, 1934 in Cohocton, NY, the youngest of four children to Peter and Eda Schumacher. Margaret’s formative years and primary education were achieved in Cohocton and she was also a graduate of Nazareth College Class of 1955. She was a resident of Pittsford, NY prior to her move to Dallas in 1981.
Margaret was a woman of dignity, style and grace. She had interests ranging from her love of family and Catholic faith to beautiful flower gardens, politics, American history, gospel and patriotic music, scrabble, crossword puzzles and travel. Her unconditional love of family knew no bounds and she was happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren. In her chosen vocation, “motherhood,” she was a super star. She will be greatly missed.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary and JoAnn, brother John, and daughter Patricia. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John (Jack) and children Kevin Sayre and wife Peggy, Katherine Forner and husband Michael, Mary Christine Sayre, Karen Hettrick and husband Greg; six grandchildren Andrew, Elizabeth and Jackson Forner, and Kathleen, George, and John (Jack) Hettrick. She is also survived by special niece Christine Kreutziger and other nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be said at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home on Garland Road at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, TX. A reception will follow immediately afterwards.
