She was born on May 23, 1925 to the late Mary and William McClusky. She was married to her beloved, late husband Paul McElroy for 42 years
She graduated from Ursuline Academy, Dallas in 1941. She then graduated from St. Paul’s School of Nursing in Dallas and from the University of Texas at Austin. She received a Master’s Degree from Western Reserve, Ohio. She also earned her PhD Degree from the University of North Texas, Denton.
Margaret taught nursing school at St. Paul’s Hospital for 20 years and then at Texas Women’s University for 25 years. Margaret was a member of the Altar Society at Christ the King Church in Dallas, TX. She and her husband were members of the Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulcher.
She is survived by three loving sisters; Molly Gondolf, Dorothy Franz and Pat Nichol and husband Charles Nichol; numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret is preceded in death by her sister, Betty Manilla and her brother Billy McClusky.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest Hwy Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225 with visitation to follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Rd. Dallas, TX 75225 with Msgr. Donald Zimmerman celebrant.
