Margaret "Nikki" Nichole Johnson

Born December 29, 1972, in Memphis, TN, Nikki was the only child of Janis Johnson, who survives her. A Highland Park High School graduate, Nikki developed a love for travel at a young age. She frequently enjoyed Paris and Zurich, Switzerland, although her favorite travel destination was always Venice, Italy. Captivated by the beautiful canals and old world charm, she relished walking the narrow streets and making discoveries that created long-lasting memories. Mainland China, Hong Kong, cities in Germany, South Africa, Turkey and Greece gave her a treasure trove of delightful adventure stories.

Following her studies at the University of Arkansas and the University of North Texas, Nikki returned to Dallas to pursue her career working at Gourmet Catalog & GC Buying Group, a company started by her mother Janis in 1981. Nikki served as CFO of GC from 2001 until the date of her passing.

A two-time breast cancer survivor, known for her kindness, her humor and her intellect, Nikki is now at peace.

Other survivors are Gary Sibley of Dallas, Barbie Reed of Fort Smith, AR, Stephanie and Randy Peek of Maumelle, AR, as well as cousins, stepfamily members and many, many close friends and associates.

A small service will be held at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas on Tuesday, November 1st, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make any donation of your choosing to a mental health organization in the community.
