She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bob Gulley, her sons Robert Gulley and Gregory Gulley, and grandchildren Jeffrey (Jeff) Young and Kathleen (Katie) Davis.
She is survived by her daughters Verna Davis Ranger, TX., Teresa Young (Robert) Colbert, OK., Patricia Campbell (Robert) Plano, TX., Judy St. Julian (Grant) Garland, TX., Anne Ugalde (Bernardo) FT. Worth, TX., and 42 Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
She met her husband in 1945 at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California. She was one of the first women to serve in the US Marine Corps during WWII.
In her younger years, she loved to read and crochet. If you ever wanted to brighten her day, all you had to do was show up with anything chocolate, especially chocolate ice cream or purple tulips. Margaret loved her Catholic faith, the Lord and the Blessed Mother. She spent many hours of her days praying for her family. She had a long devotion to the Blessed Mother and St. Bridget of Sweden.
A visitation and Rosary for Margaret will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
