Margaret A. Gibbs, born February 3, 1914, in Onalaska, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2011. She was married to Fred C. Gibbs on June 4, 1932. Margaret graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston and earned an A.S. (Business) at Decatur Baptist College 1956, B.S. (Library Science) North Texas State University 1957 and M.L. (Library Science) from Texas Woman’s University in 1959. She was appointed Head Librarian of Decatur Baptist College from 1958 to 1965 and Head Librarian of Dallas Baptist College from 1965 to 1979. Mrs. Gibbs is preceded in death by her husband Fred and grandson Trent Boydstun. She is survived by daughter, Helen Marie Boydstun and husband Dwayne and daughter, Sandra Kaye Milligan and her husband Larry; grandchildren, Reid Boydstun and wife Blair, Kara Dungo and husband John and Brandon Milligan and wife Cristy; great-grandchildren, Luke, Ruth, Clara and Bliss Boydstun, Madison and Natalie Dungo and Vivian Milligan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 7th at the First Baptist Church in Arlington with Dr. David Kirkpatrick presiding. In lieu of flowers , donations may be made in her memory to Dallas Baptist University.
