Margaret Ann (Valentine) Davidson, age 86, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday November 1, 2019. Margaret was born April 7, 1933 in Wills Point, Texas and was raised in the nearby town of Edgewood by her Parents, John and Ethel Valentine and at times her grandmother Margaret Merritt. She met the love of her life, Cecil Wayne Davidson, son of Grady and Gladys Davidson of Ben Wheeler, Texas, and they were married for 59 years before Cecil's passing in 2012.
After very humble beginnings, living in Dallas, with faith in God and great determination, they worked hard and saved to make a better life. Then tragedy struck when their baby boy Timothy was born with Spina Bifida and passed away at 6 months old in 1958. Margaret worked hard to support Cecil's pursuit of a Electronics Engineering degree and with so much love to give, they adopted and raised 2 baby boys, Shane, in 1965 and Kevin in 1967. They enjoyed boating and fishing, in addition to the kids sporting events, and visiting with friends and family. Their life's adventure continued, taking them to the desert of Saudi Arabia for several years. Traveling the world, they always returned to Texas to be with family.
Margaret remained an ever faithful and friendly positive influence. She stayed very active and hard working her entire life, taking care of her family, working at the community library, and was a cub scout den mother when the boys were young. Margaret enjoyed Tai Chi and country western line dancing classes in retirement, making friends everywhere she went. She was "honest to a fault" and could keep a secret.
Although Alzheimer's and Dementia ultimately stole her away from us, she remained a sweet and kind soul to everyone she met until the end.
Margaret is preceded in death by her beloved husband Cecil Wayne Davidson, sons Timothy Davidson and Kevin Davidson, parents John and Ethel Valentine, sister June (Valentine) Ueckert and husband Howard Ueckert, and brother Kelly Jay Valentine. She is survived by her son Shane Davidson and wife Bridgette, and grandson Evan Davidson, numerous loving nieces and nephews and cousins, and life-long friends.
