Margaret was born in Chicago, Illinois to Gustav and Selma Noren. She had a brother, Gustav A., and sister, Anna Lisa. Margaret grew up in Chicago, completed high school and business school, and met her husband, Allan Carl Carlson, whom she wed on June 25, 1938. Margaret was a homemaker and mother to daughter Bunny and son Bobby. In 1958, she and her family moved to Dallas, TX, where she worked for the American National Insurance Company. Margaret loved to sew and embroider and was a member of the Lutheran Church throughout her life. In Dallas, she was a member of Walnut Hill Lutheran Church, and she attended Holy Ghost Lutheran Church with family in Fredericksburg. Margaret was an avid reader and excellent baker. She loved animals, had a green thumb, and enjoyed helping Allan with his Boy Scout activities.
Margaret was adored by her nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who knew her as “MooMoo”, a witty, caring, compassionate, strong woman with a hilarious sense of humor. MooMoo was always up for a family gathering, and she will live on in the hearts and minds of her family in Texas, California and Illinois.
Margaret passed away peacefully at home in Killeen, Texas, where she lived with daughter Bunny since 2000.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday February 2, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
