Manuel Zarate, Jr., of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in his home. Manuel was born on December 5, 1940 to Consuelo and Manuel de Jesus Zarate in Dallas, Texas. Left to treasure his memory is his wife Fermina Mamie (Nuñez) Zarate, his children: Jessica Zarate, Manuel Zarate III, Elizabeth Zarate, Raegene and husband Michael Martinez, Arienna and husband Christopher Hernandez, and Fermina and husband Danilo Villanueva.
Grandchildren: Monica (William) Ashworth, Manuel (Doselina) Zarate IV, Rudy (Courtney) Zarate, Adrian (Ana) Hernandez, Jenae Martinez, Andreu Hernandez, Jarren Martinez, Jordan Martinez, Abrienna Hernandez, Ayeden Hernandez, Nicolas Villanueva, Jace Martinez, Azlynne Hernandez, and Adria Villanueva.
Great-grandchildren: Isabel Zarate, Brandon Ashworth, Joshua Ashworth, Zoey Zarate, Rudy Zarate, Jr. and Karter Ashworth, and soon to arrive Jaylen Hernandez.
10 brothers and 3 sisters, preceded in death by his parents and nephew Scott Zarate.
Visitation will be Monday, August 21, 2017 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM, Rosary at 7:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family of Nazareth, 2323 Cheyenne St, Irving, TX 75062.
Interment, Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
