Maggie Pearl Pope

Maggie Pearl Pope, age 100, of Ferris, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. She was born August 6, 1922 in Floyd, Texas to Joseph Claude and Sara Eula Bell Morris. Maggie married Joe Rose Pope and the couple had six children.

In her spare time Maggie enjoyed going to church, playing slots at the casino, shopping and visiting with her family and friends. Her family and friends will always remember her as someone that would always put others before herself; a loving and kind "Granny" to anyone who knew her; a kind, selfless, compassionate person. Maggie loved to cook and have her family together around the table for a home cooked meal.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; 2 children; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are 4 children, many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a host of extended family members.

A visitation for Maggie will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A committal service will occur Friday, September 30, 2022 at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228.
