Madelyn H. Lang

Madelyn Houston Lang, age 86, passed away in Dallas, TX on December 3, 2016. Madelyn was born on September 4, 1930 in Floresville, Texas. She attended Stephens College in Missouri and graduated from Southern Methodist University where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. After college, she taught grade school in the Dallas Independent School District for eleven years. She met and married Dr. Frank A. Lang in Dallas where they raised two boys. She volunteered through various medical organizations and was politically active in the Dallas and American Rose Societies. Her true loves were gardening, investing, oil and gas and watching sports. Madelyn is survived by her sons Layton and Lance Lang, daughter-in-laws Ariel Lang and Rhonda Lang, grand children Maddy, Charlie, Alyssa and Alex Lang and nieces Tera Hooks and Vicki Phillips. The Memorial Service will be held on December 8, at 3:00 pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest Cemetery at the Mausoleum Chapel- East in Dallas, Texas.
