I'm so sorry to hear about Lydia. I can only imagine the void you feel from losing your big sister, as well as a spouse, cousin, aunt, friend and any other role she graciously filled. I remember my times over at the house during high school, the fun and laughter Lydia brought to the gathering. She was an old soul and seemed to be the responsible, wise older sister to everyone. Lydia truly cared about others so much more than herself. She would call me sometimes when she was so sick to make sure I was ok or ask how my children were doing. She made everyone she talked to feel special by greeting them with “Hi gorgeous” or “Good morning BFF!” Some of my fondest memories from high school were when Lydia, Sherry Free, and I would spend the night at Lydia’s house and wait for her Dad to fall asleep. We would climb out of her bedroom window (which was pretty high) and go partying for the night. We really had some good times. I think that’s how I met my husband! Lydia has been an inspiration in my life and I know she has touched so many others. I’ll miss those comforting hugs and  her sweet laughter. I know she loves Jesus so my heart smiles knowing that I will see her again some day.  I love you my dear friend.  Delana
