Luther Anderson Sr.

Mr. Luther Anderson, aka “Mr. Luther” was born September 23, 1928 in Hosston Louisiana. to the parentage of the late Mr. Bob and Mrs. Georgia Anderson who preceded him in death, along with sisters Sara Herrin, Marie Wheeler, Mary Taylor, Gussie Nelson, and Gertrud Hudson, brothers Willie B “Jack” Anderson, G. W. Anderson and Robert Anderson, who all preceded him in death.

Luther professed Christ at an early age and became a member of Reno Hills Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor H.L Walters until he moved to Dallas, Texas in 1966.

In 1951 Luther was united in Holy Matrimony to Roberta Williams who proceeded in the death. To this union seven children was born. In 1966, Mr. Anderson and family moved to Dallas, Texas where he became a member of Israelite Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Diamond Watson.

Luther was employed as the sanitation Crew Chief Truck driver for the City of Dallas in 1966 until retiring in 1986.

Luther Anderson entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2015 12:07am.

He leaves to cherish his memories: J.L Anderson, Luther Anderson Jr.. (Tessie), Rosetta Cooks (Samuel), Barbara Sabir (Al-mahir), Roy Anderson, Don Anderson and Dennis Anderson all of Dallas, Texas and a “special daughter-in-law” Annette Turner.

Other children: Willie “Will L.” Walker (Betty), Clarence Giddens, Kenny Wayne Smith, Cassandra “Ann” Sheppard (Warren), Lutrina Wright and Andre D. Wright which proceeded in the death.

As well as, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
