Luella “Lou” Kathryn Rahrlien Hall passed away on Saturday June 13th at Sandy Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Her family was with her all afternoon and she died peacefully around 3:30 PM. Lou was born in Morris MN on July 24th 1921 to Michael and Marie Rahrlein and was raised on a family farm near St Cloud MN. Lou moved to Texas in the 1940s where she worked at Naval Air Station Dallas during World War II. There Lou met Robert Houston Hall, they were married on New Year’s eve 1944 and remained so until Lou was widowed after 49 years. Lou has lived in the north Texas area her entire adult life, she was a homemaker devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren Lou is survived by son Steven Riley Hall and his wife Lyn; as well as her daughter Sandra Ullock and her husband Cam. Lou is also survived by grandchildren David Houston Hall and James Riley Hall along with their families. Luella was known to her friends as Lou, by her children as Mom, and by the grandkids as Nanny. Her family takes comfort that she is at peace now and commends her spirit to the Lord and his grace. Visitation will be 6pm – 8pm, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Sparkman – Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Rd, Dallas, TX 75218. Funeral services will be at 1pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at Heath Cemetery in Heath, TX.
