Louise was born November 3, 1937 in Douglas, TX. She passed away peacefully on August 22, 2011 in Garland, TX. Louise was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Fox; brother, Charles Rayford McKnight; and sister, Ida Ann Davis. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Vernon Mayfield; son, John Mayfield; daughter, Teresa Temple; grandchildren, Kimberly McCaleb, Payton Mayfield and Chase Mayfield; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother Glendale McKnight. Louise worked for 17 years at Texas Instruments until her retirement. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas almost 40 years, and a member of the Joy Class. Louise was a great cook and was loved dearly. The family will receive friends at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home in Dallas from 6 pm – 8 pm, Wednesday, August 24, 2011. A Funeral Service will be 10:30 am, Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Lakeside Baptist Church, 9150 Garland Rd. Dallas 75218. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
