Dear Rothermel Family,

A belated note to let you know that my thoughts are with you all. I will always look back fondly on my times with Louis growing up in Houston.  I trust that our community here in Dallas will rally around you all going forward.

I always enjoyed my business relationship with Louis and always enjoyed swaping hunting stories.Louis you will be missed and we would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to Honey.

Louis was a wonderful, generous, honest and incredibly funny human being. His laugh and good humor will forever be missed. Rest in peace Louis, you were a great friend. My sympathy to all affected by this tragedy.

My deepest condolences to the Rothermel family. I have many fond childhood memories of Louis. I'm glad I got to see him at our 25 yr class reunion this spring. Peace be with you all.

My Uncle is Bubba Henderson. This has been a hard year for everyone. I lost my Mom,Laura Sue Henderson McMurrey and now we have lost Harrison and Louis. I remember the day my Mom said Honey is going to marry Louis Rothermel,the Rothermels had been friends with Mom for over 30 years. We enjoyed the holiday times etc with Louis,Jane,Big Louis and Honey. I know everyone is in Heaven smiling and out of pain and stress of this world. God rest there souls.

Words cannot express how heartbroken we are for Honea, Reed, and the Rothermels. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will remember Louis with love and laughter.

My every memory of time spent with Louis is one of positive energy and delight.  I hope that, in this time of turbulent tragedy, his family and those of us so blessed to call him "friend" can find the courage to focus on those wonderful hours and days spent together with him, and the peace which he would surely wish for us.
