Louis Mora, surrounded by his family, went to be with the Lord at 5:30 p.m. on June 18, 2015. He passed away of natural causes. He is preceded in death by his parents Steve Mora and Josephine Guebara. Louis was born on January 24, 1946. He graduated from North Dallas High School in 1964. He was very active in track and football. He enlisted in the Navy, August 17, 1965. He served two and a half tours during the Vietnam Era. He received 3 medals- National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service medal with one Bronze star, & Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged in Treasure Island, CA in 1967. He was employed with UPS for 28 years. He was a feeder driver and received awards and praise for continuous years of safe driving. He retired in 2000.
Louis was married April 15, 1972 to Carmela Alvarado. He is survived by his wife, Carmela Alvarado Mora and his children, Elouisa Mora Golen, Cynthia M. Mora, Joshua Louis Mora, Blanca Rosa Mora Jalitt, Moses M. Mora, and Phillip Isaac Mora. His grandchildren Sabrina Victoria Emerson, Gabrielle Golen, Adriana Josephine Emerson, Alexandra Irene Emerson, McKenna Golen, Sebastian Lionel Jalitt, & Natalia Nicole Mora. His sister and brothers, Lena Kluth, Jose Mora, Paul Mora, Bob Mora, and Mike Mora.
The family will receive friends during a visitation at Calvary Hill Mausoleum North Chapel on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 5:30pm to 8pm, with a Rosary at 6:30pm. Mass will be celebrated at St. Monica Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 23 at 10a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
