Louanne Emilie Muller, 76, of Lewisville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2023. She was born on January 29, 1946, in Rockville Centre, NY, to the late Henry & Elizabeth (Franck) Muller. Louanne grew up on Long Island and enjoyed spending time with her family. When she was 8 years old, she traveled to Switzerland and always spoke of cherished memories from that trip. The family moved from New York to California between her junior and senior year of High School. Immediately following graduation, Louanne started working with her father at Mobil Oil where she later met her husband, Frederick Ward and welcomed their children, Brian and Denise. In 1974, they moved to the Dallas area where Louanne worked as a medical transcriptionist for Plano General Hospital. She spent the rest of her career as a legal secretary working for Frito Lay, Yum! Brands, and Jones Day Law Firm.
Louanne cherished her faith and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Carrollton, where she served for a time as the church secretary. She had a passion for gardening and was a member of the Master Gardeners Association of Collin County. Louanne was an excellent cook and was known for her baking, stuffed flank steak, and spaetzels. She enjoyed Mexican food and a good margarita any day of the week. Louanne enjoyed traveling, with China and South Africa being among the last big trips she took. She also enjoyed quilting, playing Bunco, and had a love for dogs.
Louanne was a fun person, she was very witty, and enjoyed making others laugh. She was strong willed and spirited – keeping you on your toes at all times. She adored her children and grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Louanne was predeceased by her parents, Henry Edwin & Elizabeth Emily Muller, as well as her brother and sister, Henry Edwin Muller Jr. & Dorothy Louise Powers. She is survived by her children Brian Ward (Elizabeth) & Denise Brewster (David) and grandchildren Cory (Rachel), Ian, Spencer (Emily), Riley, Mattie, Michael, Helena & Kara, as well as cousins, a niece and nephews.
