He met Willie Etta Gray in Muskogee, OK. In 1988 the couple moved to Dallas, TX where they were blessed with two children, Imir and Timira Thompson. They raised their children in Mesquite, TX.
He was very personable and never forgot you if he met you. If you were in trouble, he wanted to help you anyway he could; whether it was giving his time, advise or money. He was a big advocate of discipline and education.
He went to work for several companies in the area and finally settled at UT Southwestern Medical Center where he was a Building Utility Operator. After 20 years of dedicated service, he retired in 2012.
He leaves behind 3 children, Emtecia Jackson (DeAndre Sr.), Imir Thompson (Shatavia) and Timira Thompson.
